Pleated return-air filters, with a clearer way to choose.

RenAir focuses on stepped pleated replacement filters for egg-crate return-air grilles with a 10 mm filter slot. Our aim is to make the fit easier to understand, from the first measurement to the next replacement.

What a return-air filter does

A return-air filter sits in the air path back to the ducted system and captures particles carried in that air. Correct fit matters: air passing around a poorly fitted frame does not pass through the filter media.

Why the pleats and stepped frame matter

Folding the media into pleats puts more media into the panel footprint than a flat sheet. The stepped frame locates the filter in a compatible grille. Fit, airflow and filter condition all matter; the shape alone does not establish a filtration rating or a health benefit.

A specific range, with specific dimensions

We publish the nominal grille size and the bottom-box filter dimensions separately. Each size has a RenAir reference number, and the slot size is shown alongside it. The current catalogue is for 10 mm slots; please contact us if your system uses something different.

When to replace your filter

Follow the system manufacturer’s instructions and inspect the filter according to your conditions of use. Dust levels, pets, renovation work and operating hours can affect how quickly a filter loads. Replace a damaged filter, and ask a technician if airflow changes or you are unsure about compatibility. RenAir filters are disposable. Do not wash them.
