Questions about RenAir filters

What is a 10 mm filter slot?

It is the space in the grille that the filter frame fits into. It is not the depth of the pleats. Every filter we sell is for a 10 mm slot.

Which size do I use, the grille size or the filter size?

Both. The nominal grille size, such as 900 × 500 mm, names the grille. The filter size, such as 886 × 486 mm, is the listed outside length and width of the filter's bottom box. Choose by the grille size, then check the filter size against your old filter. Our size guide shows how.

What is my RenAir number?

Each size has a RenAir number, from #21 up. Keep the number and the slot size, for example "RenAir #42 / 10 mm slot". It makes your next enquiry faster.

How much is a filter?

Most sizes are A$77 per filter. Three long sizes, #23, #29 and #43, are A$88. All prices include GST.

Can I order online?

Not yet. You can browse every size and send us an enquiry now. Online ordering is coming soon.

Do you deliver?

We will ship within Australia only. Delivery costs and times will be on our shipping policy page before ordering opens.

Is the grille included?

No. We sell the replacement filter only.

How often should I replace the filter?

Follow your system manufacturer's instructions, and look at the filter regularly. Dust, pets, building work and how many hours the system runs all change how fast a filter fills. Replace a damaged filter straight away.

Can I wash the filter?

No. It is a disposable filter. Follow your system manufacturer's replacement instructions. If you are unsure whether it needs changing, ask an air-conditioning technician.

Do you sell filters for 20 mm slots?

Not on this website. Our range is for 10 mm slots only. A 20 mm-slot filter is a different product, even when the grille size is the same.

My size is not listed. Can you help?

Send us an enquiry with your nominal grille size, filter slot and your old filter's bottom-box size. To include a photo, email support@renairfilters.com.au. We will tell you if we can help.

What if something is wrong with my order?

Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law always apply. Our refund policy explains what we do if a filter is faulty, damaged or not what you ordered.

Do you publish a filtration rating?

No. We will not publish a rating until we have test results for this exact filter. When we do, we will say who tested it.
